Honoring Community Service and Volunteer Leadership
Michael Turner has spent the past decade serving Cherokee County with extraordinary dedication. As a volunteer coordinator, Michael has led countless community projects—from neighborhood cleanups to food drives to youth mentorship programs.
He is best known for organizing the Cherokee Unity Outreach, a volunteer network he built from scratch that now mobilizes over 300 local residents each year to support families in need. Through his leadership, thousands of hours of service have directly strengthened schools, parks, and underserved communities throughout the county.
Michael’s ability to inspire others to get involved, take action, and care for their neighbors has made him a pillar of community unity. The Be Proud Awards recognizes him for his heart for service and the lasting impact he has created for families across Cherokee County.
